Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know before getting started.
Do I need to be fit already to start training with you?
Absolutely not. I work with women at every level — from complete beginners to those who've been training for years. Every programme is tailored to where you are right now. There's no judgement, no expectation to 'keep up'. We start where you are, and we build from there.
What should I wear to a session?
Whatever you feel comfortable moving in — trainers, leggings, a t-shirt. Nothing fancy required. If you're training outdoors, layers are useful in cooler months. The most important thing is that you can move freely and feel at ease.
How often should I train?
That depends on your goals and your lifestyle. For most clients, two to three strength sessions a week delivers fantastic results. But even one session a week with me, combined with some independent movement, can make a big difference. We'll figure out the right balance during your consultation.
What's the difference between 1:1 and small group training?
1:1 sessions are completely personalised to you — your programme, your pace, your goals. It's the most tailored option. Small group sessions (maximum 4 people) still offer great personalisation and technique feedback, but with the added energy and motivation of training with others. Groups are also more cost-effective. Both deliver excellent results.
Do you offer online coaching?
Yes! I offer structured online training programmes with regular check-ins, optional video technique reviews, and full support via messaging. It's ideal if you're outside the Bournemouth, Poole, and Ringwood area, or if you prefer the flexibility of training on your own schedule. Available UK-wide.
What about nutrition — do I need coaching for that too?
Nutrition coaching isn't required alongside training, but they work brilliantly together. My nutrition coaching is evidence-based, practical, and designed around real life — no restrictive diets or calorie obsession. It's about building sustainable habits that support your energy, training, and long-term health. Available as a standalone service or combined with training.
How do I book, and what happens in a consultation?
Simply fill in the contact form or drop me a message on Instagram or Facebook. The initial consultation is completely free and no-obligation. We'll have a relaxed chat about your goals, your current fitness and nutrition, and what's been holding you back. There's no hard sell — just an honest conversation about whether we're a good fit.
What areas do you cover for in-person training?
I offer in-person personal training across Bournemouth, Poole, Ringwood, and the surrounding areas in between. Sessions can take place at a gym, at your home, or outdoors. For clients further afield, my online coaching programme is available across the whole UK.
